Ocelík presented research in Brisbane, Australia

Petr Ocelík presented findings of research project on policy network analysis of the Czech coal policy domain, researched in cooperation with the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, at the prestigious Sustainable Minerals Institute of the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.

The findings show a high degree of policy polarization and belief heterogeneity of the decision-making sector that prevent formulation of consistent energy transition strategy.

Lehotský discussed energy efficiency in Chortkiv, Ukraine

A meeting between representatives of city of Chortkiv and a researcher from the Czech Repubic took place in Chortkiv on 29th of May 2018. The meeting was attended by the city mayor Volodymyr Shmatko, city energy manager, energy experts, and other members of the city council.

Ocelík at conference in Newcastle, Australia

Petr Ocelík presented interim findings of research project on policy network analysis of the Czech coal mining domain, researched in cooperation with the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, at the Mine Rehab Conference in Newcastle, Australia.

The presentation focused on the role of expert information exchange for a policy change.

Osicka at SET Plan 2017 conference

Jan Osicka delivered a contribution at the 10th SET Plan conference, which took place in Bratislava between November 29 and December 1.

Jan was on a panel titled "Market integration - Central European natural gas market". He based his speech on results of a recently published paper on gas market integration in V4 countries, published earlier this year.

Vlček at conference in St. Petersburg

Tomáš Vlček participated at the 10th annual conference ENERGETIKA XXI: Economy, Policy, Ecology in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation.

In his presentation titled "Geopolitics of the Nuclear Power Plant Projects in the Baltic Region" he analyzed the strategic interests of key regional actors in the Baltic region and Belarus with a special emphasis on the Astravets nuclear power plant in Belarus.

Ocelik and Lehotsky at Conference in Mainz

Petr Ocelik and Lukas Lehotsky participated at a Third European Conference on Social Networks, a major academic conference on network-based reserach. 

Peter presented two contributions in a panel titled "Political Networks: National and subnational political networks".

First paper was on "Climate Change Policy Networks in the Czech Republic", a case study belonging under the header of international COMPON project. The paper is prepared in cooperation with co-authors from University of Helsinki.

Vlček at conference in Wroclaw

Tomáš Vlček participated at the 22nd annual Central European Political Science Association's conference in Wroclaw, Poland.

In his presentation titled "Geopolitics of the Baltic Nuclear Projects" he analyzed the strategic interests of key regional actors in the Baltic region and Belarus.

Ocelik and Lehotsky at the 2017 Conference of Czech Sociology Society

Petr Ocelik and Lukas Lehotsky delivered a conference contribution at the 2017 Conference of Czech Sociology Society on Friday, February 3, at the Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University in Prague.

The contribution was titled "Czech media coverage of climate change" and presented part of a wider research on climate change policy networks in the Czech Republic.

The research carried out at CENERS constitutes a case study within a larger Comparing Climate Change Policy Networks (COMPON) research project.

Jirusek at conference in Sofia

Martin Jirusek participated at the conference titled Russian Economic Footprint in CEE held in Sofia, Bulgaria on November 28, 2016.

He presented his contribution aimed on analysis of political and economic risks of natural gas supplies in central and eastern Europe. In his contribution titled „Assessment of political risks in the Natural Gas Sector in Central and Eastern Europe” Martin focused on the issue of politicization of Russian supplies in the region.

Jirusek in St. Petersburg in Russia

First, it was The Role for Russian Resources under Changed Energy Prices and De-carbonization conference held on November 10 – 11 in Sankt Petersburg, Russia.

The conference organized by the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics hosted some of the most prominent European experts on energy security and was aimed predominantly on the situation of traditional energy sources in changing environment.
